Qx412

Hi.

What can you tell me about samsung notebooks?

Never had one and never knew anyone with one.

Any user already has the QX412?

Or any good and complete review on the net?

Thanks

Never had one either but I am extremely interested in the QX412. I say it is the best all round 14" laptop out there - 2nd gen sandy bridge i5, 9 hour battery life, thin and portable, will last in terms of technology, chiclet/island style keybaord, etc. The only thing that lets it down is the resolution and no backlit keyboard.

I read that in recent years Samsung laptops have really stepped up and should be considered even though it is not an obvious brand for laptops. I think the build and the stuff under the hood are very good.

Price in UK is 799, however I don't know when it will be available sorry (for Europe in total and USA)

I'll read the other 2 because i know nothing about samsung laptops.

I think they're already available in Portugal for a few days.

Samsung have been producing notebooks for more than 5 years (the X60 that I reviewed (see link in my signature) is 5 years old and still running (although I've had to replace the HDD and the battery holds no charge)). The oldest thread in this forum is almost 7 years old and relates to the X30 (which Dell sold as the latitude X1).

The X, Q and QX series the premium models (usually thinner and lighter) while the R series are the "value" models.
