Unfortunately, the following are the only ones that best matches what you're looking for:
* VAIO S (13.3") -- VAIO S Series PC | Sony | SonyStyle USA
* VAIO F (16.4") -- VAIO F Series PC | Sony | SonyStyle USA
Good luck.

Yes, I love this design-line. Unfortunately Sony is shutting it down now so you better hurry up! The new SA/SB looks terribly ugly.
Look at F, S, Y, Z... Those are the models with such design that come to my mind.

Sometimes I feel like Sony's designs have gone downhill slightly. Case in point, look at the FW from the Core 2 Duo era:

Current Sony CA:

I've always been a Sony fanboy and I always will be, but I don't know why they dropped the styling of the FW.

A few older models that feature that design are the TT (11" though), VGN-Z, and SR computers. The latter two are 13.3"

sony vaio's are reliable right ? i just need one for 3 1/2 years . lol . and wow the barrel hinge is awesome
!
and oh my god , the parts fall apart ? i hoooope they don't . i'm going for the 13.3" one .
AND OH MY GOD THOSE LAPTOPS IN THE SIGNATURE COLLECTION ARE SO BOSS BUT I CAN'T BUUUY THOSE . $1000's the budgeeeet . lol .
and oh lol! nvm .. i read a lot of reviews about that barrel hinge breaking down so i'll just get the new S Serieeees . sad . =[
and i was wondering .. a lot of other laptops have boasted a 10 hours battery life on their 'resumes' ... those won't last more than 6 hours . sony vaio boasts of 5 hours . is 5 hours really 5 hours ?

What now? What is falling apart!?
What kind of rumor is that

Vivakris - all manufacturers advertise with the best battery life every reachable under perfect conditions! My S was advertised with over 5h batter life - well I never reached over 5 but close to 5 yes. And don't worry - nothing is falling apart - Z is famous for it's design problems (with the hinges), but the rest of the models mentioned above have no typical issues (that I know of).
I'm an S user myself and have been for since they were first introduced - the only typical "problem" is a squeaky space bar that you need to lubricate once and you'll never ever hear it again (well maybe in a few years... but I still haven't heard it)

I just replaced this part on my Sony TT. I'm quite glad to see the back of this design. It's made up of too many parts 7 in fact and the power on mechanism with time can become problematic because of the way it's constructed.
My three year old Sony SZ hasn't got this design and i've had no problems with the power button.
I think this design might have been implemented better with the Vaio S VPC Z then the FW and TT's.
