My HT is NOT in the same room where my TV is, so disconnecting from the player menu, the HT defaults to D/IN. My SAT. receiver is connected to HDMI1 and i have to get up and manually change to HDMI1.

Zodiac_69,
The default input is usually the tuner. However, by powering on the HT-C5500 with Anynet+ enabled (HDMI required), the television will switch to that input (if it's already on), or power the TV and switch to that input automatically (if the power is off).

Hi Samsung_HD_Tech
Sorry for the long break
My HT-C5500 is not in the same room as the TV(46C650).
I have two devices connected to the HT, SAT Receiver and XBox 360, both these devices are permanently on yet the HT still jumps to D/IN on power up.
I have had the occasion where it is on HDMI1, but it then change to D/IN and i have to go to the HT and manually change the source to HDMI1
I there any way i can have HDMI1 as the default?

Zodiac_69,
Unfortunately, no. The tuner is the "always on" connection, and by default will usually be the input displayed when the unit is powered on. There's nothing that I'm aware of that will allow you to assign a default input other than the tuner.
I realize that this is probably not the answer you wanted, however that's the most accurate answer I have.
